Background

Jon Omund Revhaug (b. 1966) is EVP and Head of Telenor Asia. He leads the Telenor Asia office in Singapore, which is responsible for Telenor’s business activities in Bangladesh, Malaysia, Thailand and Pakistan. He has extensive international and operational experience from his 24 years with the company.

Prior to his role as EVP, Head of Telenor Asia, he was acting Head of Telenor Nordics after serving as COO in Telenor Nordics with responsibility for technology, IT and Shared Services across the region. Revhaug was also Chief Transformation Officer in True/Dtac in Thailand, where he led the merger between CP owned True and Telenor owned Dtac. Before that he was the CEO of Telenor Myanmar, which he led through both Covid and the period of the military coup. Revhaug was also instrumental in establishing Telenor Group’s global sourcing function and setting up and serving as CEO of Telenor Procurement Company (TPC), which sources equipment and services for Telenor operations across the Nordics and Asia.

Revhaug has close to 20 years of Board experience and currently serves as Board Chair of Grameenphone Ltd in Bangladesh, Deputy Board Chair of CelcomDigi Berhad in Malaysia and on the Board of True Corporation Public Company Limited in Thailand. He was previously Chair of the Board of Directors of Telenor Shared Services, DNA Oyj in Finland, Telenor Norway, Telenor Sweden and Telenor Denmark while serving as acting Head of Telenor Nordics. He has also served as Board Chair of Telenor Myanmar, and as a board member of TPC and TT Network in Denmark, a joint venture with Telia.

Education

Jon Omund Revhaug holds a Master of Management degree from BI Norwegian Business School and a Cand. Mag. degree in Economics and Biology from the University of Tromsø, Norway.
