Position Related
The role will be focusing on managing and maintaining the entire cloud infrastructure. Ensures that the cloud infrastructure is robust, scalable, cost efficient and secure includes day-to-day management, designing cloud architectures, managing cloud resources and ensuring the overall health of the cloud environment.
Goals
- Responsible for cloud infrastructure operations, development and automation related to business requirements and needs, aligned with domain target architecture and security guidelines.
- Recommend and provide improvements to effective way of work and target/solution architecture within domain.
- Responsible for ensuring that way-of-work procedures, documentation requirements, architectural and FinOps standards are followed during operations of existing environment and development of new services.
Your typical day at work
- Ensure secure, automated infrastructure operations in close collaboration with application and security team (among others).
- Act as subject matter expert on product and processes specific to cloud platforms. Initially this will mainly focus on AWS.
- Ensure compliance with TSS architectural, security and FinOps guidelines.
- Through direct contact with business stakeholders, create and operate infrastructure according to business requirements.
- Present and participate in TSS architecture board as subject matter expert when needed.
- Ensure the deliveries according to time, cost and quality expectations.
- Be a mentor and coach for solutions and technical expert for cloud infrastructure.
Eligibility Criteria
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT/Engineering/Computer Science. Certifications like AWS SysOps Certifications are preferred.
Work experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in required technologies
- Working knowledge and hands on experience of IaaS and PaaS cloud environments. Oversight experience on transformational/migration projects, all from business requirements, design, implementation and operations.
- Understanding of multi account cloud setup, primarily AWS, business drivers, and emerging computing trends.
- Strong understanding and knowledge on cloud native tools like:
- Cloud services (EC2, ELB, S3/EBS, EKS, ECS, CloudTrail, AWS config, AppStream, Lambda, RDS etc.)
- IP Networks (DirectConnect, VPN, VPC, Transit GW, WAF, CloudFront, Route 53 etc).
- Infrastructure as Code (Preferred Terraform but also Cloud Formation).
- Automation tools (SystemManager, AutoScaling, Certificate manager, Image builder etc.)
- Monitoring Solution (CloudWatch, Inspector, SecurityHub etc.)
- Strong understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with FinOps.
