About Telenor Cyberdefence

Telenor Cyberdefence AS is a wholly owned, newly started Nordic cyber security company in the Telenor Group. Telenor Cyberdefence AS' ambition is to become a leading MSSP (Managed Security Services Provider) in the Nordic market, among other things by using Telenor's unique access to threat intelligence to support our services. In addition to delivering modern managed security services, Telenor Cyberdefence AS will also be able to offer specialist expertise through advice, technical consultancy services and testing of infrastructure / applications with our Offensive Security team.  

We are looking for an experienced red team lead to join our Telenor Cyberdefence Offensive Security team HQ in Oslo / Fornebu.

The role will be a key member of our offensive security team and be empowered to drive the area of red teaming and TIBER exercises, leading complex projects against Nordic critical infrastructure. You will have an opportunity to shape and define the assignment delivery including tool stack, c2 infrastructure and more. When not on assessments the role is expected to contribute to improving our red team capabilities and the competence base of yourself and other team members.

We strive towards delivering the utmost quality in all our engagements and continuously work to enable our team with the toolkit needed to perform. This involves a functional reporting platform, c2 framework and other tools of trade along with documentation and support. The role is expected to contribute to the continuous improvement of this aspect.

Candidates must have citizenship in a Nordic country and be applicable for Norwegian security clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Advanced Red Teaming: Plan, manage, execute and report on high quality red team and TIBER engagements.

  • Conduct Advanced Penetration Testing: Plan, manage, execute and report on high quality offensive security engagements.

  • Client Advisory: Engage with our clients and provide proper advisory.

  • Market Adaption: Stay up to date on relevant legislation and continuously adapt our red team services to meet market demands.

  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date on the latest techniques and trends in the offensive security space. Drive innovation in our red team and TIBER deliveries.

  • Tool Development and Customization: Contribute to developing and improving custom tools, automation, and methodologies to improve our service quality.

  • Collaboration and Mentorship: Collaborate with others on engagements and mentor less experienced team members.

  • Culture: Engage with and contribute positively to our offensive security team culture.

   

We imagine the perfect candidate to have:

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience doing penetration testing on various types of infrastructure and 2 or more years leading Red Team engagements.

  • TIBER: Experience leading at least one, but preferably multiple TIBER engagements.

  • Education and Certifications: Relevant education and certifications. Examples could be a bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant studies and/or certifications like OSCP, OSEP, OSED, OSEE, CRTO, CRTL and similar.

  • Technical skills: Proficient in the most common offensive security toolkits, C2 frameworks, EDR bypass techniques, Windows internals, C#/C/ASM programming and other red teaming skills.

  • Consulting skills: Ability to effectively communicate technical vulnerabilities and risks to clients at various levels of an organization.

  • Ethics and integrity: High levels of ethics and integrity to protect our clients and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information we gain access to during our assessments.

  • Community engagement: Experience contributing to or developing tools or publications related to offensive security.

  • Localization: Nordic citizenship and applicable for Norwegian security clearance.
