Role Overview:
The Head of Media is a critical role in Marketing. The role encompasses developing and implementing comprehensive media and digital marketing strategies to promote GP's brand, products, or services and drive awareness, engagement & performance marketing through ATL media and digital promotions in alignment with Grameenphone’s overall marketing and business objectives.
The core responsibility encompasses aligning ATL and digital media efforts to create an impactful presence that drives engagement, supports business goals, and maximizes return on investment. This involves strategic planning, overseeing execution, managing budgets, analyzing performance, and ensuring the team is aligned and equipped to adapt to emerging trends and technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Integrated Media Management against business needs
Develop and execute comprehensive Media & Digital Marketing strategies aligned with overall business objectives and around the benefits of the brand
Oversee the planning and execution of integrated campaigns across ATL and Digital Media channels.
Ensure cohesive messaging and branding across all platforms, including TV, Radio, Print, Digital media.
Media Buying and Budget Management
Manage budgets for both ATL and Digital Media, guide and suggest agency to negotiate the deals with vendors and platforms to maximize value.
Allocate resources effectively across channels to optimize return on investment (ROI) and campaign performance.
People Management
Lead and manage a diverse team of media and digital experts, including other partners resources & agency resources- planners, buyers, analysts, and content creators.
Content Integration and Management
Supervise the ideation and distribution of content tailored for various media and digital channels.
Ensure high-quality, engaging, and consistent content through Portfolio teams that aligns with the brand’s strategy
Performance Analysis and Reporting
Use analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of media and digital campaigns, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.
Guide the team to prepare and present detailed performance reports, providing insights and data-driven recommendations for future strategies.
Stakeholder Management
Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media agency, media houses, media forum, digital platform partners, and influencers.
Communicate & align media and digital strategies, performance, and insights with senior management and other relevant parties
Compliance, Maintain High ethical standard, and Industry Awareness
Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes affecting both traditional and digital media.
Ensure all media and digital activities comply with legal standards and ethical guidelines.
Innovation and Exploration
Explore and implement new technologies, platforms, and tactics to enhance media and digital efforts.
Encourage experimentation with innovative approaches to drive engagement and reach across both ATL and digital channels.
Digital Transformation Leadership
Lead digital transformation initiatives to integrate digital technologies and processes within the organization’s media strategy.
Advocate for digital best practices and ensure the team is trained and proficient in the latest digital tools and platforms.
Robust performance marketing to support business growth
Educational and Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree preferred.
Experience
10 to 15 years of experience within relevant field, with a strong understanding of ATL & digital media
Special Skills:
Ability to collaborate in the media industry
Understanding of all media tools
Robust knowledge in performance marketing
Relevant certifications (Google, Meta, Media management etc)
Ability to lead a diverse team
