System & Database Developer

Do you want to help shape the network of the future and take responsibility for the development and management of our Network Management Systems (NMS)? We are looking for a skilled developer with expertise in databases and system programming in a Linux environment.

You will have a very important role in a dedicated team that works with systems to ensure uptime, security and continuous improvement of Telenor's network for mobile, internet and TV – in other words, what ensures that our society flows and functions.

You will play a crucial role in developing new functionalities and optimizing existing solutions, while also having the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge in your field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automate processes to improve efficiency.
• Create and maintain data models.
• Split and manage large databases.
• Ensure scalability and redundancy of database systems.
• Oversee monitoring, logging, and operational tasks.
• Handle internal user administration for databases, Linux, and web systems.
• Contribute to the development of program code and system setup.
• Focus on structure, problem description, program flow, and data structures in development tasks.

We’re looking for a Database Developer with:

• Relevant experience in System & Database Development.
• Similar Academic Background. Relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education
• Solid experience with MySQL, Postgres, and InfluxDB.
• Experience with system programming in a Linux environment.
• Knowledge of web and management systems, NginX, APIs, REST, Ansible.
• Familiarity with networking, virtualization, cloud technologies, and version control systems such as Git is an advantage.
• Comfortable in written and Oral Norwegian & English
