Telenor is currently seeking a new Director Physical Security at our headquarters in Norway. This role encompasses all aspects of security for Telenor physical assets, such as offices and technical buildings. This requires broad collaboration that connects the threat landscape with security maturity and products. The main purpose is to define, govern, control and support implementation of security for protecting, detecting and responsive actions, as well as continuous learn and drive improvements in cooperation with Telenor companies.
As our new Director Physical Security, you will be part of the Security Governance team in Global Business Security (GBS) and within the Group CTO organization. GBS is a global expert function with diverse knowledge and experience to take security into the future. Our vision is to always protect people in their digital life and that security is the foundation for everything we do. We provide guidance and expert support in strategic areas to safeguard our assets, societies and people against crime and other threats, and we are working on key initiatives across borders, cultures, and languages.

Some of your main responsibilities:
Update physical security governance related framework (e.g. policy sections and guidelines).
Align governance responsibility and tasks with policy and guidelines.
Drive physical security community agenda and improvements.
Report status, incidents and plans into regular security updates to all relevant Telenor units.
Lead maturity assessment adequately covering updated risk picture and follow up on mitigating measures.
Structure and drive awareness and learning programs across the broader organization.
Engage with relevant partners and suppliers on physical security testing, monitoring, assessment, trainings, etc.
Close collaboration with crisis management and personnel & travel security.
Preferred experience and qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably within security risk management, international relations, criminal investigation, intelligence studies or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in strategic, tactical, and operational security across all levels in the organization.
Excellent understanding and hands on experience from handling threats and providing relevant information to management.
Strong understanding of risk management principles and process, including the ability to conduct risk assessments and apply them to daily operations.
Ability to produce documentation that is practical and easy to understand and implement.
Experience with project management.
Ability to communicate effectively with senior management, external stakeholders as well as other units.
