Senior HR Specialist – Telenor Shared Services Portugal

Join us as a Senior HR Specialist at Telenor Shared Services (TSS), where you will play a crucial role in supporting employees and managers in Portugal and across our company for all Portugal HR related matters. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape our employee experience, drive HR initiatives, and contribute to the ongoing growth of our company and the success of our teams locally in Portugal.
You will collaborate daily with the Managing Director & Country Manager of TSS Portugal and although your focus will be on our location in Lisbon in Portugal, you will work as an integrated member of the global TSS HR & Support chapter, reporting to the VP HR & Support. The team has employees both in Norway and Pakistan and collaborate with HR in the other Nordic business units as well. Together we support the employees and managers in Telenor Shared Services globally.

Telenor Shared Services has its head office in Norway with main hubs in Portugal and Pakistan and departments/employees located in Sweden, Denmark and Finland.
Your new Role
As a Senior HR Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Serve as the primary HR advisor and first point of contact for employees and managers for all HR related matters
- Be the subject matter expert on Portugal's employment laws and regulations to ensure we are compliant, including Health & Safety
- Be the subject matter expert on local compensation & benefits (Portugal)
- Be responsible for payroll to secure smooth pay out of salary and expense claims
- Ensure compliance with work schedules and general HR routines
- Implement a career plan framework and a structured learning and development plan
- Support the Managing Director & Country Manager with HR related matters
What you will need to succeed
To succeed as a Senior HR Specialist, we think you will need:
- 5+ years of hands-on HR and people support experience
- Strong understanding of Portuguese working acts and legal requirements
- Experienced in working with different HR systems
- Strong service orientation mindset and positive attitude
- Sense of urgency and ability to work structured and meet deadlines
- Ambitious and motivated to work in a collaborative environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Fluency in English
- Your daily interaction with our local employees is a success factor. To ensure the best possible collaboration you are expected to be present in the office 3-4 days a week.
