Virginia Dignum
Professor of Responsible Artificial Intelligence
Virginia Dignum is Professor of Responsible Artificial Intelligence at Umeå University, Sweden where she leads the AI Policy Lab. She is also senior advisor on AI policy to the Wallenberg Foundations. She has a PHD in Artificial Intelligence from Utrecht University in 2004, is member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences (IVA), and Fellow of the European Artificial Intelligence Association (EURAI). She is a member of the United Nations Advisory Body on AI, the Global Partnership on AI (GPAI), UNESCO’s expert group on the implementation of AI recommendations, OECD’s Expert group on AI, founder of ALLAI, the Dutch AI Alliance, and co-chair of the WEF’s Global Future Council on AI. She was a member of EU’s High Level Expert Group on Artificial Intelligence and leader of UNICEF's guidance for AI and children. Her new book “The AI Paradox” is planned for publication in late 2024.
Chris Lewis
Chris Lewis has covered all aspects of the global telecoms and adjacent industry sectors for 40 years working as an industry analyst with Logica, Ovum, Yankee Group and IDC as well as independently under the Lewis Insight and Great Telco Debate banners for the last ten years. He offers a unique perspective on the emerging telecoms and networking markets and how they fit into the broader emerging digital landscape. He also works with the TM Forum, sits on the GSMA’s Mobile World Congress Advisory Board and acts as a judge for many industry bodies.
Registered blind throughout his career and a leading user of assistive technology, Chris has now expanded his coverage to look at the area of Equality Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) and Inclusive Design and its importance as part of sustainability for the telecoms industry.
Assad Moosa
Asaad Moosa has over 20 years of experience in IT, Cloud Computing, and Cybersecurity and joined Telenor in Norway in September 2022 as a Security Governance Expert, following his previous role as Chief Information Security Officer in the UK Defence sector in London. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the UK (2007-2010), specialising in AI and cybersecurity. The emergence of generative AI technologies like ChatGPT pivoted his focus towards AI and data science, particularly addressing the security challenges and potential risks posed by generative AI and hyper-automation technologies. As a certified Microsoft AI Engineer and Data Fabric expert, he currently serves as Head of AI and Security Governance at Telenor Shared Services, leading the alignment with Telenor Group's AI First Program and ensuring compliance with the EU AI Act. He is also driving AI business transformation, which includes envisioning the AI-driven future workforce, planning the required upskilling and reskilling to support the target operating model based on the new AI technological ecosystem.
Paul Morrissey
Professor
Professor Paul Morrissey is a Globally renowned figure in the world of Telecommunications and Media. He is a serial technology entrepreneur and a visiting Professors at some of the leading Universities in Europe. The Professor is also the Global Ambassador for AI, Big Data Analytics and Customer Experience at TM Forum, the Global Standards body for Telecommunications, and sits as an active advisory board member at the industry agnostic entity AI Forum. Paul has also recently been appointed the Advisory Board of EXFO the Canadian Fibre Monitoring company.
Kristin Oudmayer
Kristin Oudmayer comes from the position as director for children's rights in UNICEF Norway, where during 14 years at UNICEF, she has contributed to building up the work for children's rights in Norway, as well as leading UNICEF Norway's department for politics and society. Oudmayer has been the organisation's spokesperson and external representative, including in the media, in meetings with politicians and civil servants, and in interaction with business partners. Previously, Oudmayer has her background in psychiatry, with children as relatives as her special area. She has written three books, several articles and Op-Eds about bullying, children in a digital world, adults as role models and vulnerability.
From 1 October, Kristin Oudmayer will be the executive director of an organization working to secure the rights of children growing up with parents who struggle with abuse and/or mental health issues.
Titta Penttilä
Titta Penttilä is an experienced privacy lawyer and leader with over 20 years of in-house experience in privacy/data protection, law, and information/cyber security on an international scale. She is the founder of Privilo Oy, a law firm established in Helsinki this year, specializing in advising clients on privacy/data protection, data and AI related matters.
Before founding Privilo Oy, Titta worked as the Chief Privacy Officer at Huawei Consumer Mobile Services EU, where she built and led the privacy program and team. She also had a distinguished career at Telia Company, where she held various roles, including Telia Group’s first Group Privacy Officer. In addition, at Telia Titta worked on information/cyber security, served as an in-house lawyer, and contributed to Telia’s Responsible Business program as the owner of the Customer Privacy focus area.
Titta holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Helsinki and is IAPP CIPP/E certified. She is passionate about fostering multidisciplinary discussions on privacy, data, and AI, and recently launched her podcast, "Privacy, Data and AI Lounge," featuring insightful conversations with a new guest in each episode.
Dragana Trifunovic
Dragana Trifunovic is the Head of Strategy and Organizational Development at Digital Norway. She has several years of experience in developing and delivering training and courses in innovation, technology, and digitalization. Passionate about simplifying technology and making it understandable and accessible, she strives to bridge the gap between complex tech concepts and everyday applications. Previously, Dragana worked as a consultant, assisting companies in adopting new technologies and becoming more data-driven.

Zainab Hussain Siddiqui
Zainab Hussain Siddiqui is responsible for sustainability strategy, governance and oversight of Telenor’s ownership portfolio in four business areas and 8 markets. With more than 20 years of global and in-market experience, she specializes in fusing the worlds of sustainability and innovation. A sustainability professional by design, Zainab graduated with an MSc in Development Administration & Planning from University College London (UCL). A tech for development enthusiast by choice, Zainab explores the folds of Responsible AI and the intersection of skill development. She is especially passionate about building digital skills that enable an inclusive future for all.
Ieva Martinkenaite
SVP Head of Telenor Research and Innovation | Telenor Group Board Member
Ieva Martinkenaite is leading the Research and Innovation unit in Telenor Group. She is among the key figures at Telenor contributing to building AI research and innovation ecosystem in Norway. Over the last several years, Ieva led a team of data scientists and Machine Learning engineers in Telenor, also holding several high profile regional and national appointments in AI. Among those are Board memberships in Norwegian Open AI-lab, Norwegian Research Council Advisory Expert Group on AI, International Advisory Board of Flanders AI, and the Singapore Government’s International Advisory Council on Ethical use of AI and Data.
Among Ieva’s responsibilities in Telenor is to advance research within AI/ML, 5G/6G and cloud within telco domain, develop Telenor’s thought leadership in selected technology areas and contribute to Telenor’s innovation ambitions together with strategic partners and customers. Her work also involves advisory to Telenor management on digital technologies and innovation strategy. Concurrently, Ieva leads a joint AI task force of Europe’s largest telecommunication operator association ETNO and GSMA Europe. She has more than 15 years of experience in product development, business research and advisory. During 2018-2020 Ieva represented Telenor in the European Commission’s High-Level Expert Group on AI which provided ethical guidelines for building Trustworthy AI in Europe. Ieva is a frequent reviewer of Horizon Europe and Digital Europe programs with focus on AI and big data.
Ieva holds a PhD in Strategic Management from BI Norwegian Business School (Norway) and Master’s in European Public Administration from K.U. Leuven (Belgium). During 2020-2022 she served on the Board of Telenor Denmark A/S.
Carl Jacob Rustad
VP Privacy Compliance, Telenor
Carl Jacob Rustad develops and oversees the implementation of Telenor Group’s global Privacy Policy since 2022. Before joining Telenor, Carl Jacob worked as a management consultant in a Big 4 consulting firm, leading the firm’s the privacy and data protection consulting unit, delivering data protection services to many of the largest companies in Norway. Carl Jacob has previously also been employed as a Data Protection O_icer in the Norwegian business unit of Norway’s largest media group.
Carl Jacob has professional expertise with governance, risk and compliance in all three lines of defence. He has varied background combining regulatory, technology and management experience. While primarily focused on privacy and data protection, Carl Jacob has also worked in the broader cybersecurity domain in both audit and advisory roles, and he is a certified ISO27001 Lead Implementer.
Carl Jacob has led Telenor’s Responsible AI Working Group since last year. The working group developed Telenor’s global principles for Responsible AI.
Carl Jacob holds a master’s degree in “Information technology and administrative systems” from the University of Oslo, an interdisciplinary degree across law, computer science and social sciences.
Patrik Hiselius
Patrik Hiselius, Director Human Rights & Inclusion. Addressing IT, Law, and Social Sustainability in an international context since the beginning of the 90's. He has served as a specialist on ICT regulatory matters, company lawyer negotiating content contracts, and as a specialist on Sustainability issues in general and human rights specifically. His special focus has been on content related issues such as copyright, privacy/surveillance, freedom of expression, as well as other human rights issues and human rights strategy overall, most often in multi-stakeholder contexts such as serving as Board member of the Global Network Initiative (GNI). Most recent additional and related work focuses on AI & Ethics and AI & Human Rights. Patrik represents Telenor Group.

Susan Morgan
Susan Morgan has over twenty years’ experience working in different sectors and focused on the intersection of technology and society. Now a freelance consultant, she was the first Executive Director of the Global Network Initiative, a Washington DC based multi-stakeholder initiative focused on the responsibilities of technology companies to protect the free expression and privacy rights of their users when receiving government requests around the world. For ten years she worked in the tech industry for BT. And between 2016 and 2019 she worked at the Open Society Foundations leading a global grant-making portfolio focused on the online public sphere.
She is a Non-Executive Director of the Good Law Project and a Co-chair of the Power and Accountability Committee for the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust.
