Canal Digital Kabel TV will adjust its prices to individual customers as at 1 November 2004, making the new standard rate NOK 167 per month. Under the new pricing system individual customers will see a price increase in cable-TV services, some will see a decrease and for yet others, the price will remain the same.

The price adjustments have been made because Canal Digital Kabel TV wanted to establish a system by which all its customers would pay the same amount for the same services received. Today, a variety of different prices are charged for the same TV content. The price differences result, inter alia, from Canal Digital Kabel TV not having been able to effect a just flat rate due to prior contract terms. The price variances that have come into being over the years have to do with when the various contracts were entered into. Until now, new customers have had to pay more than customers under old contracts, even though they have all received the same services. The contract terms have now been altered, effective 1 July 2004.

Canal Digital Kabel TV's current monthly standard rate is NOK 179 per month. The new monthly standard rate will be NOK 167, ie. a reduction of NOK 12. The price adjustments also cover the annual adjustment based on the cost of living index. Thus, there will be no price adjustments as at 1 January 2005.

The adjusted prices will give identical customers equal status, simplify customer relations and facilitate a continuous upgrading of the cable-television networks in order to make Canal Digital Kabel TV's favourable internet products available to more people.

Customers will receive an information letter regarding the price adjustments.

At the present time, there will be no price adjustments for customers in housing cooperatives or for others covered by collective agreements.
